The experts form the assessment commission, which specifies the assessment criteria on the basis of the task.
Assessment criteria are e.g.:
- Clarity and precision of the construction
- Neatness and clarity of the scribed timber
- Neatness of the workmanship (cuts, deburring, joints)
- Dimension precision and accuracy of fit (+/- 1 mm)
- General impression
The assessment of the submitted roof truss models takes place in accordance with the criteria and the factors listed in the Competition Rules, Clause A 6.2. Competition Rules can be downloaded here.
Each individual assessment will be judged according to a ten-point key, whereby ten points for a perfect achievement and one point for a completely insufficient achievement are given. The total points are divided by the number of experts and multiplied by the factor.
A competitor can exchange timber or perform re-working cuts for use of material. Points are taken off for new timber or re-working cuts.
The results of the two best competitors of each nation shall be used for the ranking of nations.
