Competition Rules

Competition rules have been specified for the realisation of the European Competition. A working time of 22 hours within three working days is stated in the Competition Rules.  Waiting times which occur because experts are assessing individual working steps or work results are credited and compensated for at the end of the competition.

The working material, dry coniferous wood with a wood humidity of 15 % +/- 3 %, planed and sharp-edged, will be made available.

Each competitor is provided with certain machines and equipment. These include, amongst others, a joiner’s bench, a block board for elevation work, a sanding machine, as well as screw clamps and screws.

Competitors are required to bring their own tools. A complete carpenter’s tool set is required. Drilling, screwing and handheld planing machines are the only portable machines permitted.
